Solid Long Plank White Oak Flooring
Rustic Grade Long Plank Appalachian White Oak
Solid 3/4" T&G Non-Defected & Non-Trimmed Flooring. This Grade is Milled from 4/4 KD Rustic Grade Northern White Oak Lumber 8' to 16' Lengths with a Standard Relief on Bottom of Floor.
Grade Definition
Our Rustic Grade is Non-Defected & Non-Trimmed Flooring. We run it down the moulder and leave all the trimming to be done by the customer. There is no limit for defects but we suggest adding 4-7% extra waste for defecting out holes and unsound knots. You can expect worm holes, open knots, end-splitting and other minor defects. There is very limited milling defects because we do not defect it, mostly the occasional saw marks on face where the board didn't fully plane out.

Lengths Range from 8 foot to 16 foot, however we try to stock mostly 10' and 12' packs of flooring.

We ship lengths based on what is available and additional fees are added to cut down lengths in order to ship LTL on pallets up to 12' long.

Character Grade Long Plank Appalachian White Oak
Solid 3/4" T&G defected to show character without any defects that need to be removed. This grade is milled from 4/4 KD #1c & #2c Appalachian White Oak Lumber. The lengths range 1' to 10' and sometimes 12' and packaged in nested bundles. This flooring has standard relief on bottom and all ends are end-matched T&G as well.
Grade Definition
Our Character Grade is defected to show sound knots, mineral streaking, color variation, some minor worm holes and overall light character allowed in White Oak.

Select Grade Long Plank Appalachian White Oak
Solid 3/4" T&G defected to remove character defects and create a Select Grade Floor. This grade is milled from 4/4 KD #1c Appalachian White Oak Lumber. The lengths range 1' to 10' and sometimes 12' and packaged in nested bundles. This flooring has standard relief on bottom and all ends are end-matched T&G as well.
Grade Description
Select Grade White Oak is free from knots, checking, open holes, heavy color variation or large mineral streaks. This grade is as close to NWFA Select Grade as possible while offering a 1' to 10' length floor with 4' average lengths.

Solid Old Growth New Heart Pine
Mill Run Long Leaf New Heart Pine
Solid 3/4" T&G Mill Run Flooring of our Long Leaf Heavy New Heart Pine. This grade is milled from lumber consisting of the heart material from Old Growth Southern Yellow Pine, which we pull for Long Leaf. We do not defect out anything other than unusable boards with rot is removed.
Grade Description
Mill Run Old Growth New Heart Pine will have mostly tight grain and high heart content around 70% or better. Some boards will have very little knots and some will have heavy knots, but the overall knot content is lower than most new heart pine on the market.

Lengths Range from 4 foot to 16 foot and we try to stock 8', 10' and 12' packs for shipping LTL.

The occasional large knot but most knots are medium to small in size. Some loose grain boards but most boards are tighter grain with nice heart content
Select Grade Long Leaf New Heart Pine
Solid 3/4" T&G Mill Run Flooring of our Long Leaf Heavy New Heart Pine. This grade is milled from lumber consisting of the heart material from Old Growth Southern Yellow Pine, which we pull for Long Leaf. We grade for the boards that have tighter grain and least amount of knots so as to have a higher grade. We limit this grade to just a few widths.
Grade Description
We take the widths we get the most of and we grade them to a Select Grade by removing the Character Grade Boards. We try to pull for boards that are tight grain, heart content over 75% and just a few knots.
Our grade also allows for us to pull both a Vertical Grain (VG) and Flat Sawn Option in these sizes we grade.

Character & Better Grade New Heart Pine
Solid 3/4" T&G Mill Run Flooring of our New Heart Pine that was graded down when creating our Select Grade. This grade is milled from lumber consisting of the heart material from Old Growth Southern Yellow Pine, which this will typically consist of a mix of Long Leaf, Loblolly, Slash & Pitch Pine. We do not defect out anything other than unusable boards with rot is removed.
Grade Description
This will be boards with loose to medium grain, heavier knot volume, larger knots, and typically only 50%-75% Heart range.
